In Vietnam’s coastal communities, every fishing voyage begins with the captain gathering trusted companions—known as **"Bạn Ghe"** (Boatmates)—to head out to sea together. Across vast waters and through changing tides, they face the sun, the wind, and the waves side by side, hauling in nets filled with the day’s catch. Their harvest is more than the result of labor; it is a testament to trust, solidarity, and the quiet rhythm of life by the sea. Inspired by this tradition, Lèm Dì Dị adopts the name **"Bạn Ghe"** to celebrate those who are already part of the artistic community, as well as those quietly cultivating their own creative practices. This year, we invite you aboard the boat that Lèm has been building. Though still humble and small, we believe that with more hands rowing together, the boat will grow stronger, carrying more *Bạn Ghe* on a shared journey into the waters of contemporary art in Khánh Hòa—the land of agarwood and swiftlets. The first stop on this year's voyage is **Warm-up: "Bạn Ghe – Lèm Dì Dị,"** a one-day gathering taking place in August. The event will feature an exhibition of artworks by our *Bạn Ghe*, film screenings, games, a community party, and intimate conversations between participants and the Lèm Dì Dị 2026 team—marking the beginning of a new artistic journey together.
